Hiraba Smruti Sarovar: Boosting Rajkot's Water Security

As a rainwater harvesting initiative, the Girganga Parivar Trust has constructed the Hiraba Smruti Sarovar, with Balaji Wafers – Virani Parivar as the main donors. This check dam, built on the Nyari River near Vagudad village in Rajkot, is named in memory of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s revered mother, Hiraba. Its primary goal is to increase groundwater levels for local farmers. Dignitaries including MLA Smt. Darshita Shah, former Collector Shri Arun Mahesh Babu, and MLA Shri Rameshbhai Tilala attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
